Community Support and March Events!

I recently got some love from a beautiful blog Third Story(ies) on Valentine’s Day. It’s a colorful blog about a lovely house and gorgeous food, so glad the book is in the hands of another inspired cook!

And we are proud to be #3 on the blogroll of the super inspiring blog, I Run in the Rain! It chronicles a woman’s journey from an unhealthy weight to a new life of health, it is exciting and heartfelt.

There are a few events in the works for March, and not just your run-of-the-mill signings either!:

Matt and I will be giving a talk at the Schlafly Branch St. Louis Public Library on March 13th at 7pm as part of their month long celebration of Food!! We will be signing books too, but also talking about the book, shopping, and food.

I am also proud to say that we will have a table at the open reception of the ACF Regional Conference in St. Louis. Very excited to share the book with professionals!

Friday Fun (and Wine!)

Join us from 2-4 this afternoon at Vom Fass in Maplewood. We will be signing books and they will be sampling wines!! Get all your Foodie Holiday Gifts at this wonderful little store.

Then in the evening, we will be at Parker’s Table (behind the Tip Top Cleaners) in Clayton from 5-7 signing books and noshing on salumi from Salume Beddu and sampling some of their massive wine selection. If you haven’t seen Parker’s Table yet – this is the best time to come and check it out.

Tonight!

Join us this Afternoon at Extra Virgin: An Olive Ovation for book signings and an olive oil and vinegar tastings, from 2pm-4pm at 8829 Ladue Road.

Then swing by Flowers To The People, at 2317 Cherokee, between 5pm-7pm for tea and cookies and to chat with the authors.

Both of these wonderful woman-owned, small businesses are stocked full of great holiday gifts!!

Holiday Events!

We are booking lots of fun food-filled events for December. We hope you can join us and support your local small shops.

 

Thursday December 19th:

2pm-4pm Signing at Extra Virgin, An Olive Ovation in Ladue (8829 Ladue), the tasting bar will be open with about 100 oils, vinegars, mustards, honey, and complimentary wine.

5pm-7pm Tea and Cookies at Flowers to the People on Cherokee Antique Row (2317 Cherokee), see some beautiful flowers and have some lovely tea and cookies.

 

Friday December 20th:

2pm-4pm Signing at Vom Fass in Maplewood (7314 Manchester), enjoy complimentary wine and tasting over 75 things “from the cask.”

5pm-7pm Signing at Parker’s Table in Clayton (7118 Oakland, behind the Tip Top), we will have wonderful wine, cheese, and specialty salumi care of Mark Sanfilippo from Salume Beddu.

 

Saturday December 21st:

11am-2pm Signing at DiGregorio’s on the Hill (5200 Daggett), get some wonderful salami and olives!

2;30pm-5pm Signing at Viviano’s and Sons on the Hill (5139 Shaw), find some Italian specialties.

 

Sunday December 22nd:

12pm-3pm Signing at Kitchen Conservatory in Clayton (8021 Clayton), do a little last minute Holiday Shopping!

5pm-7pm Signing at Local Harvest Grocery in Tower Grove South (3108 Morganford), grab some amazing local products for your Holiday Dinners.

This Week’s Good News.

This week, other than being my favorite holiday, has brought some great news.

Our first few stores are already beginning to sell out!! The book has only been on the shelves for 2-3 weeks and we are getting reorders! We are so happy that people are picking it up and giving it a chance.

Matt and I have booked a speaking engagement at the St Louis Public Library during their Culinary Month in March 2014! We can’t be more excited to share the book with people at this event.

We have gained yet another wonderful spot for the book to be sold – the Missouri Botanical Garden’s Garden Gate Shop! We are so jazzed to be included in this lovely shop.

Thank you again to all our unfailing supporters! I hope you all are finding the book useful and fun.
